The Old Brewery apartment

The history of Kralovske Vinohrady (the royal vineyards) dates back to the 14th century, during the age Charles IV. The municipal brewery building – Mestansky pivovar in Kralovske Vinohrady was established in 1890 by a small group of local entrepreneurs and produced beer, malt and ice. Apparently the beer was truly excellent! Even physicians recommended the "royal beer", meaning the dark lager beer from Vinohrady brewery, as an effective cure for various bodily and mental ailments.

History of this place

Most of the brewery was demolished and became the Korunni Dvur apartments in 2006. There are still many features such as the original brewery chimneys that remain.
